Makena joined TEDxNewAlbany's Venue & Experience committee in 2016 as Assistant Venue Coordinator.  In that role, Makena assisted inaugural Director of Venue & Experience Alexis Rudy with a variety of tasks related to event staging, interactive decorations, registration, and attendee experience.

In her capacity as Director of Venue & Experience, Makena will creatively and innovatively dress up the stage and provide an amazing visual experience for the TEDxNewAlbany guests.

Makena is a senior at New Albany High School. Outside of TEDxNewAlbany, she is on the Varsity Tennis Team and enjoys traveling and volunteering.
